Our story

Hello New Braunfels is run by the Moorhead family — we live here, work here, and raise our kids here. We built this site because finding out what's actually happening in town meant checking six different websites, three Facebook groups, and a flyer at the grocery store — and we still missed things.

So we made the site we wished existed: every event we can find pulled together in one calendar, guides written by people who have actually floated the river a hundred times, and live river conditions straight from the USGS gauges.

How the site works

Events come from public sources — the City of New Braunfels calendars, the Brauntex Theatre, and venues around town — plus events neighbors send us. We review what comes in, but always tell us if we missed something or got a detail wrong.

About Trusted Pros — and our disclosure

Our business directory lists exactly one vetted business per trade. In the interest of full transparency: Moorhead Service Company, the HVAC and electrical company holding those spots, is our family business — run by brothers Justin and Levi Moorhead. It's why the vetting standard exists: we list businesses the way we'd want to be judged ourselves — licensed, insured, and accountable for workmanship. Every other listing earns its place through the same vetting, and paid placements are always labeled with their tier.
