Who are you and what do you do?
I'm Levi Moorhead. My brother Justin and I run Moorhead Service Company — HVAC, electrical, and indoor air quality across New Braunfels, Seguin, and about thirty other towns around here. If your AC dies in July, I'm the guy your neighbor texts. I also built the site you're reading right now, mostly because I kept missing things happening in my own town.
How did you end up in New Braunfels?
Family and work, in that order. We started the company in 2022 as two brothers and a van, and this area gave us everything — customers who became friends, techs who became family. New Braunfels is where we planted the flag, and there was never a question of anywhere else.
What does a perfect New Braunfels day look like for you?
Early start — this is an AC town in summer, there are no sleep-ins. But a perfect day off? Kolaches from Naegelin's, the kids on the paddle boats at Landa Park, a slow float down the Comal in the afternoon, and something live at Gruene Hall after dinner. That's the whole reason people move here, and it's all within ten minutes.
What do most people not know about this town?
How much happens here that never gets promoted. The city runs free movies, storytimes, archery in the park — half the town doesn't know because it's buried on a government calendar. That's honestly why this site exists. Also: the Comal is spring-fed at 72 degrees year-round. People drive hours for water we have in our backyard.
Where are we most likely to run into you?
In a driveway somewhere between here and Seguin with a gauge set in my hand. Otherwise: Landa Park with the kids on weekends, or wherever there's live music and a brisket plate.
