How to read the numbers
Comal: spring-fed and steady at 70–72°F. Under 100 CFS it runs low but floatable; 100–350 is prime; above 350 it gets pushy.
Guadalupe (at Sattler): controlled by the Canyon Dam release. Under 100 CFS is scrape-your-bottom low — float the Comal instead. 100–300 is the sweet spot; 300–600 is fast; above that, talk to an outfitter before you commit.
